Sail away with us

A private charter on the River Dee makes an unforgettable venue for your guests, whatever the occasion. Whether it’s a wedding, birthday, hen party, we’ve got a boat for your perfect river cruise. Take a look at our fleet below to choose the ideal boat for your event.

For information on prices and availability, complete a Private Charter Enquiry or give us a call on 01244 325394 (Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm). Our friendly Sales Office staff will be happy to arrange a tour of the boats, and help you plan your bespoke private charter.

Lady Diana

The Lady Diana joined our fleet as a brand new boat in 1981, the year that Lady Diana and Prince Charles were married, and has been continually improved and modernised over the last four decades.

The Lady Diana is the largest vessel in our fleet accommodating up to 120 passengers across 3 decks (please note capacity will be lower depending on cruise duration, catering, and entertainment arrangements). With plenty of room to move and mingle, she is especially popular for large events such as weddings, conferences, and live music events.

Take in the stunning river views from the top deck, or relax in the spacious lower saloon, where you will find a well-stocked bar. With heating throughout, and removable windows upstairs for warmer weather, the Lady Diana is a comfortable vessel all year round.

Mark Twain

When the Mark Twain joined our fleet from the Thames she had a paddle wheel and funnels, giving her the appearance of a Mississippi steamboat – the kind pilotted by the famous American author she is named after.

As verstaile as the Lady Diana, the Mark Twain can carry 60 passengers across its 3 heated decks and is suitable for sailings at all times of year.

The Mark Twain’s lower saloon oozes charm with its replica gas lamps, wooden fittings, and leather upholstery. Here you’lll find a bar serving hot and cold drinks, beer, wine, cider, and spirits.

The Jackie

The Jackie used to sail on the River Ouse in York and was called the River Countess. When she came to Chester she was renamed in honour of Jackie Leech, the ‘swan lady’ who protected Chester’s swan population.

With an open upper deck and a lower forward saloon with removable windows, The Jackie is a perfect boat for the warmer months. Nothing beats sipping a cold drink on the top deck on a warm summer’s evening! You can find the bar in the cosy rear saloon.

The Jackie is ideal for more intimate events, and is especially popular with hen parties. She can carry up to 40 passengers across her open upper deck and enclosed lower deck.

Bonkie

Bonkie is our “picnic boat” – perfect for intimate occasions such as small birthday parties, family days out, and proposals. You can bring your own food and drinks, and we’ll provide the ice and glasses. Sit back and relax while your personal skipper shows you the sights of the River Dee. Suitable for up to 8 passengers plus one of our skippers.
