Macmillan Coffee Morning – A Successful Debut!
We are delighted to announce that our first ever Macmillan Coffee Morning was a fantastic success!
We had a tremendous turn out, with approximately 100 guests visiting aboard the Lady Diana over the course of the 2 hour event. Although we would have loved to actually sail, holding the event stationary at the Groves enable people to come and go as they please.
In total we managed to raise a touch over £800 which is absolutely brilliant!
There were some delicious food on offer with an array of cupcakes, scones, cakes, flapjacks and loads more. Plus there were a few left over for the office staff in the afternoon! Nearly everybody took part in a ‘How many spots on the cake’ game which helped to boost the fund raising total. For anybody who was in attendance, the total was 576! The winner received a first prize of a meal for two at the Mill Hotel.
We received some incredibly generous raffle prize donations which included gift vouchers for Hickory’s Smokehouse, the Blackhouse Grill, Et Alia at the Red House, Busy Bus, Edge’s Butchers, Brown Sugar and many more. Here is a full list of everybody that we would like to thank for donating their time, cakes, money and raffle prizes. If anybody is missing from the list then we apologise as the author of this post did not catch your name but we are truly sincere in saying that we could have not have hosted such a successful event without your help and we are incredibly grateful.
